Buzz on the Boardwalk Boosts Community Engagement

It is safe to say that the Boardwalk at Towne Lake has transformed Cypress, TX. When they were new to the area, It was critical that people kept coming back and seeing all the new stores and restaurants that were opening up each month. I was challenged with creating a video series called "Buzz on the Boardwalk" to update locals about each new business. At the time, the videos on their Facebook page were not getting wide exposure, and the sharing and engagement metrics were very low. Usually around 70 likes on average.


It was a privilege to work with so many different franchise owners to coordinate video content. We implemented a strategy to produce tons of content on time, and under budget. The format felt like exciting community news instead of advertising, each video was paired with an exclusive discount or offer, that boosted engagement and sharing to 20K views, 400 likes, and 81 shares on the first video alone. The boardwalk at Towne Lake is now a integral part of the Cypress community with thriving vendors.
